Born in Grodno, Russia, the author escaped from the Polish-occupied Grodno traveling through Europe & Egypt to settle in Palestine where, from 1920-23, he worked as a pioneer to build a Jewish homeland. Settling in the USA, he studied architecture at the University of Michigan from whence he went on to found his architectural firm and author several books on the subject and on public art. Fine .
